Taylor is determined to prove that she's back in the ring to stay and this recent show proves it! Taylor made her saddleseat return to the show ring on a blustery, cold day with a five-year-old SWTC bred Hackney/Arabian mare and we couldn't be more proud! SW Glory Days (offered for sale) handled herself like a total pro, remaining steady and quiet in spite of 30 MPH wind gusts and large classes, and Taylor proved that not only was she back, but she was back with a vengeance! And she received her wins under respected Arabian judge, Margaret Rich, who was just back from judging the US Arabian National Championships. Watch for this pair again until this mare goes to a new home because for now, they're a pair to be reckoned with! RCAHA HORSE SHOW - October, 2008
After a broken back last year and Taylor's cancer diagnosis this March, it's been a very, very difficult year and a half, but we are thrilled to return to the show ring after such a long absence and equally thrilled to report that we returned with a bang! We only took two horses, but two was all it took to rack up an impressive list of wins. Taylor was finally able to return to the show ring fighting fatigue but riding with poise through two classes before her energy ran out, and her horse proved that this team is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the future. In addition, our own home bred (and available for purchase) gelding, SW In The Spotlight, proved that Debbie's still able to put a nice horse together. At this rate, his price will be going up very soon. Of the top four dressage scores given by well-known judge, Eileen Fagan, three came from Silverwood horses (and they only rode in three tests).
